Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful antique set of solid 833-grade silver salad or pastry tongs, bearing Dutch hallmarks and dating to 1845. The set is of hinged design with extensive scroll and bright cut detail throughout, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The set is free from monogram or crest, with the set hallmarked extensively throughout. The centre screw is easy to remove, which allows the set to be cleaned and also used individually. A wonderful mid 19th century set of solid silver salad tongs for the collection.
