Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful mid 19th century solid 900-grade silver card case, more than likely of American origin c-1850's. The case features extensive engine turned detail throughout, with an etched church theme to the main cartouche. The quality is very good, with the case free from any major damage (a couple of minor bumps here and there). The case features a well executed monogram to the secondary cartouche, and is without hallmark (not uncommon for silver of this time; tested and guaranteed solid silver throughout). A fine calling card case for the collection.
The case measures 9cm x 6.5cm and weighs in at 49gms unpacked.
