Here today for your consideration we have this superb Victorian solid 15ct yellow gold pendant, made by Thomas Gaunt of Melbourne, c-1880. The pendant is of solid cross design set with a single old mine-cut genuine diamond, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The diamond has a fleabite to the table visible under a loupe, with the jump ring hallmarked for the maker only (tested and guaranteed as 15ct gold throughout). A stunning 19th century solid gold and genuine diamond cross from a celebrated Victorian jeweller.
The diamond measures 3.5mm x 3mm and has an estimated weight of 0.20cts. The pendant (excluding jump ring) measures 32mm x 20mm and weighs in at a respectable 5.04gms unpacked.
