Here today for your consideration we have this lovely late 19th century solid 900-grade silver snuff box, made by Georg Adam Scheid of Vienna, c-1890's. The box is of truncated rectangle shape with domed surfaces and recessed hinge, being of good quality throughout. Condition is fairly good used, with a few knocks and dents throughout, predominately at the corners (per photos). The box is free from monogram or crest (possible remnants on the base), being hallmarked to the lid. The hinge works as intended, with the lid closing with good tension. A lovely near-sterling grade European silver box for the collection.
The box measures 8.5cm x 6cm and is around 2.5cm thick. Unpacked, it weighs in at 92gms.
