Here today for your consideration we have this lovely Art Deco solid 9ct yellow gold fob medal, made by Willis & Sons of Melbourne, c-1931. The medal was presented to J. C. Whyte in recognition of service as Honorable General Secretary of the Eastern Suburbs Cricket Association (Victoria). Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The engraving is beautifully executed, with the hallmarks in reasonably good order. An excellent sporting medal for the collector, or talk to your jeweller about adding a bail to use as an eye-catching pendant.
The medal measures 35mm x 32mm. Unpacked, it weighs in at 3.62gms.
