Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful antique solid 812-grade (13 loth) silver tablespoon, bearing Hanau-style hallmarks and dating to the mid 19th century. The spoon has been produced in a similar design to the English Fiddleback, being of good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is reasonably good used, with a few bumps to the bowl evident. The spoon features a well executed monogram to the face, with the hallmarks in good order to the verso (no purity stamp; tested as 13 loth). A useful 19th century solid silver European spoon for the table.
The spoon measures just over 23cm long and weighs in at 49gms unpacked.
