Here today for your consideration we have this lovely Art Deco sterling silver capstan-style inkwell, made by Clark & Sewell of Chester, c-1920. The piece is of hexagonal form with hinged dome lid and original glass liner, being of good quality throughout. Condition is reasonably good, with a few depressions to the lid which sits a bit proud from the base (per photos). The inkwell is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 70% overall. A lovely sterling inkwell for the executive desk.
The inkwell measures 10cm x 8.5cm at the base and stands about 6cm tall. Unpacked, it weighs in at 209gms (filled base).
