Here today for your consideration we have this lovely Art Deco sterling silver trophy, made by Charles S Green & Co Ltd of Birmingham, c-1925. The trophy is of twin-handled design with timber plinth base and was presented for the Father's Race of Haddon Hill 1930-1931, being of good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is fair used, with a few depressions and a solder repair to the stem evident (per photos). The inscription is nicely executed, with the hallmarks about 60% overall (date stamp all but worn). A charming little sterling silver trophy cup for the collection.
The piece stands 8cm tall (5.5cm without the base), and has a diameter of 4.5cm at the rim. Unpacked, the set weighs in at 41gms, with the trophy accounting for 23gms of this.
