Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Art Deco sterling silver comport/tazza, made by S Blanckensee & Sons Ltd of Chester, c-1927. This wonderful piece has a nicely cut and pressed border with recessed central bowl, all standing atop a plinth base with decorative stem. Condition is reasonably good used, with some evidence of crumpling to the top of the stem and some minor depressions and a shallow crease to the bowl. The comport has a very nicely executed presentation to the centre, with the hallmarks about 90% overall. Beautiful as is, but will benefit from a clean. An attractive and useful piece for the collection.
The comport stands 12.5cm tall and has a diameter of 21.5cm at the rim. Unpacked, it weighs in at 338gms.
