Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful Art Deco sterling silver twin-handled porringer bowl, made by J B Chatterley & Sons Ltd of London, c-1930. The bowl is of footed design with splayed handled and thickened rim, being of exceptional quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (evidence of pitting to the base likely caused by salt corrosion from some point; professionally cleaned). The bowl is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. A very good and versatile piece of early 20th century sterling silver for the home.
The bowl stands 5.5cm tall and measures 16.5cm x 11cm across the top. Unpacked, it weighs in at a very respectable 217gms.
