Here today for your consideration we have this superb Art Deco sterling silver christening cup, made by G W Shirtcliffe & Son (George William & Percy Shirtcliffe) of Sheffield, c-1944. This beautiful piece features a classic tankard form, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (a couple of stubborn spots to inside evident, refer photos). The mug has been beautifully engraved to the front face, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. An attractive piece of antique silver for the collection.
The mug stands 8cm tall and has a diameter of 6cm at the base. Unpacked, it weighs in at a respectable 134gms.
