Here today for your consideration we have this superb Art Deco sterling silver footed basket, made by Prouds of Australia c-1940's This beautiful piece stands atop three simple paw feet and has a cauldron shape base, terminating in a discretely rolled rim and stylish fixed handle. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note owing to the exceptional gauge and quality of this piece. The bowl is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks being crisp and clear. A very fine piece of Australian sterling silver for the collection.
The basket stands 18cm tall and has a diameter of 16.5cm at the rim. Unpacked, it weighs in at a very impressive 526gms.
