Antique Art Nouveau 1905 Solid 15ct Yellow Gold Opal & Seed Pearl Pendant Brooch

Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful Art Nouveau solid 15ct yellow gold convertible pendant brooch, featuring an oval solid opal cabochon and a total of forty-one (41) seed pearls, c-1905. The versatility of this antique piece is excellent, with a removable bail allowing it to be worn as both a necklace and a brooch depending on the occasion. The piece is in good used condition, with no major damage to note. The opal throws very nice colour from multiple angles, with the seed pearls without loss. The metal pin holds good tension within the catch, with the piece hallmarked to the back. An additional loop features at the base, allowing for the addition of another drop, a safety chain or even another bail if the purchaser prefers to wear it inverted. A very beautiful solid gold Art Nouveau and opal piece of jewellery.

The opal measures 7mm x 5.5mm, with the piece having overall measurements of 38mm x 38mm (including the bail). Unpacked, it weighs in at 6.09gms.
