Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful antique 9ct yellow gold jewellery suite, made by W. J. Proud of Sydney, c-1920's. The set includes a bar brooch and a pair of French screw-back earrings, each featuring a large creamy-white rosette. Condition is reasonably good used, with no major damage to note. The brooch bar and earring dangles are all gold, with the pin and screw backs in base metal. The rosettes are free from losses, with the pin holding good tension within the catch and the screws operating freely. Only the brooch is hallmarked, with the earring bars tested and confirmed as 9ct gold. A very sweet jewellery set from a prominent Sydney silversmith and jewellery retailer.
The rosettes have diameters of 12mm and 17mm, with the brooch measuring 56mm long and the earrings measuring 40mm from the tops of the ball fittings to the bottom of the rosettes. Unpacked, the suite weighs in at 11.17gms.
