Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful antique solid 9ct yellow gold brooch, made by A. Macrow & Sons of Melbourne, c-1910. The brooch features a beautiful heart-shaped chrysocolla cabochon in turquoise colouring, against twin bars mimicking bamboo. The quality is good throughout, with no damage to the cabochon evident. The rope embellishment at the top is a little misshapen but complete, with the pin holding good tension within the catch. A beautiful early 20th century Australian gold brooch for the collector.
The brooch measures 45mm long and weighs in at 3.71gms unpacked.
