Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Edwardian sterling silver single sovereign case, made by Alfred Wigley of Birmingham, c-1900. The case is of round shape and button release type having sprung coin tray of textured face, being of good quality throughout. Condition is reasonably good used, with a couple of minor bumps to the exterior, which would benefit from a dedicated polish. The case is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 90% overall. The spring is in good order, with the button release working as intended and the case clasping nicely. A very nice turn of the century English silver sovereign case in a classic style.
Including the fob ring, the case measures 46mm x 30mm externally. Unpacked, it weighs in at 19gms.
