Here today for your consideration we have this rare Edwardian sterling silver-rimmed glass match striker, made by Schindler & Co of London, c-1900. The holder is of boot shape with transparent base and frosted striker, finishing in a plain silver rim. Condition is good used, with damage limited to a few tiny nibbles to the base and a few shallow depressions to the silver rim. The striker is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. A charming novelty match striker for the collection.
The piece measures 6.5cm x 2.5cm at the base and stands around 7cm tall. Unpacked, it weighs in at 125gms.
