Antique Edwardian 1901 Repousse Sterling Silver Salt Cellar Bowl Blue Glass Set

Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful Edwardian sterling silver salt cellar, made by William Aitken of Chester, c-1901. The cellar is of oval form with extensive pierced and pressed repousse detail complete with original fitted blue glass liner, being of good quality and gauge. Condition is fairly good used, with no major damage to note (a few minor splits to the delicate rim; nothing too serious). The piece is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. An attractive turn of the century sterling salt cellar for the collection.

The piece stands 4cm all and measures 9cm x 4cm overall. Unpacked, it weighs in at 74gms, with the silver accounting for 20gms of this.
