Here today for your consideration we have this lovely Edwardian sterling silver christening set, made by Allen & Darwin of Sheffield, c-1906. The set includes a napkin ring and spoon, each with matching detail and being of good quality throughout. Condition is in reasonably good used with the spoon having some distortion to the bowl. Interestingly, the spoon is monogrammed Thomas with the napkin ring Pete, with the hallmarks identical and in clear, legible condition. The box is a little shabby but structurally good, with hinges and clasp working as intended. A lovely early 20th century English sterling silver christening set for the collection.
The spoon measures 14cm long with the napkin ring having a diameter of 4cm and a band width of 2.5cm. Unpacked, the set weighs in at 172gms, with the silver accounting for 40gms of this.
