Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Edwardian pair of sterling silver salt cellars, made by Josiah Williams & Co of London, c-1908. This wonderful set is of cauldron shape with gadrooned rims and cobalt blue glass liners, being of very good quality in both design and execution throughout. Condition is good used, with some salt corrosion evident throughout (refer photos). The blue glass liners are free from chips or cracks. Each piece is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. A fine set for the collection.
Each salt stands 3cm tall and has a diameter of 5.5cm at the rim. Unpacked, the set weighs in at 130gms with the sterling silver accounting for 70gms of this.
