Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Edwardian solid 15ct yellow gold brooch, made by Edward Sansome of Sydney, c-1910. The brooch features three oval banded agate cabochons in a twin bar bloomed gold setting, being of very high quality throughout. Condition is good used, with no damage to the stones or setting to note. The pin holds good tension within the catch, with provision for a safety chain near the hinge. A fine example of an early 20th century Australian solid gold brooch for the collection.
The largest cabochon measures 15mm x 11mm, with the three having a total estimated weight of 13.34cts. The brooch measures 60mm long, and has an impressive weight of 9.88gms.
