Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Edwardian solid 9ct yellow gold bar brooch, featuring a central round-cut pink ruby c-1910. The ruby is bezel set within a triple ring formation, with the brooch being of split tapering bar form and good quality throughout. Condition is reasonably good used, with evidence of an early solder repair near the setting evident (per photos). The pin holds good tension within the catch, with the hallmarks in good order. A fine early 20th century solid gold brooch with a precious ruby gemstone to the centre.
The ruby has a diameter of 4mm and an estimated weight of 0.23cts, with the brooch measuring 56mm long. Unpacked, it weighs in at 2.38gms.
