Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful Edwardian sterling silver open salt cellar, made by G E Walton & Co Ltd of Birmingham, c-1910. The liner is of oval form with pierced body and blue glass liner, being of good quality throughout. Condition is reasonably good used, though a good polish will enhance presentation. The cellar is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. A useful and attractive early 20th century English silver salt for the collection.
The cellar stands 3cm tall and measures 5.5cm x 4cm across the rim. It has a total weight of 54gms, with the silver frame accounting for 12gms of this.
