Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Edwardian sterling silver-rimmed whiskey noggin, with mount by S Blanckensee & Son Ltd of Chester, c-1912. The noggin is of typical conical design with glass handle and plain mount, being of good quality construction. Condition is fair, with a fleabite to the base of the glass and the lid being removed at some point with the hinge filed down (per photos). The silver rim and interior of the bottle would benefit from a dedicated polish, with the hallmarks about 70% overall (maker near lost). A sweet and versatile piece for the collection.
The noggin has a diameter of 6.5cm at the base and stands 10cm tall. Unpacked, it weighs in at 157gms.
