Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Edwardian sterling silver salt or pepper shaker, made by Mappin & Webb of Birmingham, c-1912. This lovely piece takes on a traditional sugar caster shape, having octagonal form and quartered finial. Condition is fair used, with the shaker and lid having quite a bit of salt corrosion throughout and a bit of a lean to it. The piece is free from crest or monogram, with the hallmarks about 70% overall. A nice and practical piece for the home.
The shaker stands 10cm tall and weighs in at 55gms unpacked.
