Here today for your consideration we have this superb Edwardian sterling silver porringer or broad sugar bowl, made by William Comyns & Sons of London, c-1916. The piece is of short form with rippled body and free-form scroll handles, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is reasonable used, with a small and discrete split to the base at one side (per photos; repairable). The piece is without monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 90% overall. A fine and unusual piece for the collection.
The bowl stands 5.5cm tall and has a diameter of 11.5cm at the rim. Unpacked, it weighs in at a respectable 257gms.
