Here today for your consideration we have this superb Edwardian solid 15ct yellow gold brooch, featuring a cushion shape purple amethyst glass panel, c-1915. This incredible piece features a gold panel set into the glass studded with eight tiny seed pearl, with a further three seed pearls claw set to the top. The brooch is of oval shape, with the glass bordered by wreath of yellow, rose and white gold applied flowers. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The brooch is without hallmark, and has been tested throughout to confirm purity. The pin holds good tension within the catch, and the glass is without chips. An excellent early 20th century solid gold brooch for the collection.
The glass measures 28.5mm x 19mm, with the brooch having overall dimensions of 51mm x 33mm. Unpacked, it weighs in at 15.09gms.
