Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful solid 15ct yellow gold convertible pendant brooch, made by Duggan, Shappere & Co of Melbourne, c-1910. This stunning piece features typical Edwardian themes including boys, hearts and flowers, studded with five blue turquoise cabochons and an incredible seventy-two (72) seed pearls, including three in the bail. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The turquoise and pearls are in lovely shape, with the gold having nice patina throughout. The pin holds good tension within the clasp, with the removeable bail in good condition. A very attractive solid gold pendant brooch for the discerning collector.
The turquoise and pearls have diameters of between 1.5mm and 3mm, with the piece (including bail) measuring 49mm x 28mm across the face. Unpacked, it weighs in at a respectable 8.51gms.
