Here today for your consideration we have this exquisite French Empire-period solid 950-grade silver salt cellar, bearing hallmarks used between 1798 and 1809. The piece is of round form with three hoof-footed pillars and voided frieze, being of good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (a good polish will enhance presentation). The blue glass liner is without chips or cracks and fits very nicely in the frame, with the piece hallmarked in several locations. A fine and high grade French silver salt cellar for the collection.
The piece stands 6cm tall and has an overall diameter of just over 7cm. Unpacked, it weighs in at 170gms, with the silver frame accounting for 63gms of this.
