Here today for your consideration we have this superb Georgian Britannia-standard (95.8% pure) sterling silver table or serving spoon, made by Samuel Hitchcock of London, c-1714. The spoon has been produced in the popular Hanoverian design, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (some wear to the tip of the bowl, per photos). The spoon features a well executed monogram to the verso, with the hallmarks about 60% overall (date letter all but lost). A fine early 18th century sterling silver spoon in the desirable Britannia standard.
The spoon measures 19cm long and weighs in at 68gms unpacked.
