Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Georgian sterling silver sugar caster or muffineer, made by Samuel Wood of London, c-1748. The caster is of traditional form with pierced lid and rare internal sieve, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The caster is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 80% overall to the base (near worn from the lid; sieve does not appear to have been hallmarked). A fine mid 18th century example from a quality English maker.
The caster stands 12.5cm tall and weighs in at 89gms unpacked.
