Here today for your consideration we have this lovely pair of Georgian sterling silver salt cellars, probably by James Waters of London, c-1768. The set is of four-footed oval shape with pierced bodies and gadrooned rims, being of good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (no liners present; some minor salt corrosion evident to the bases). The set features a well executed monogram to each cartouche, with the hallmarks about 70% overall. A fine mid 18th century set of salt cellar frames for the collection.
Each cellar stands 4.5cm tall and measures 7.5cm x 6cm at the rim. Unpacked, the set weighs in at 114gms.
