Here today for your consideration we have this nice set of Georgian sterling silver sugar nips or tongs, made by Thomas Dicks of London, c-1785. The set features shell bowls with pierced stems and bright cut head, being of very good quality throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (a couple of professional early repairs in places evident). The set features a well executed monogram to the head, with the hallmarks about 90% overall (no town mark or date letter struck). A versatile set of late 18th century sterling silver nips for sugar, or repurpose for antipasto and other pickles.
