Here today for your consideration we have this nice set of Georgian sterling silver sugar nips or tongs, made by Peter & Ann Bateman of London, c-1796. The set features shaped stems with bright-cut detail, being of good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (a couple of professional early repairs evident). The set features a well executed monogram to the head, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. A versatile set of late 18th century sterling silver nips for sugar, or repurpose for antipasto and other pickles.
