Here today for your consideration we have this superb Georgian thirty-four (34) piece partial cutlery service, made by George Smith III & William Fearn of London, c-1810. The setting has been produced in the Bright Cut Old English design, being of exceptional quality and gauge throughout. The following pieces are included:
Dinner forks (13) - 20.5cm long - 920gms weight
Table/soup spoons (12) - 22cm long - 806gms weight
Entree forks (7) - 17cm long - 277gms weight
Dessert spoons (2) - 17.5cm long - 71gms weight
Total weight: 2,074gms (66.70 troy ounce)
Condition is good throughout, with the set free from any major damage to the tines, bowls or handles. The bright cut engraving is fading from the set in places, but all in all is in good order. Each piece features a well executed though fading crest, with the hallmarks identical throughout and about 80% overall. A thoroughly lovely offering in a rare early 19th century pattern.
