Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Georgian sterling silver saffron pot, made by Thomas Wallis II & Jonathan Hayne of London, c-1819. The pot is of classic Regency styling standing atop four squashed ball feet with gadrooned detailing to the borders and fully integrated hinge, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (a couple of small depressions to the body, nothing too serious). The handle is tight to the body, with the lid sitting flush atop the base. The teapot is engraved underneath for the assumed original owner Jane Kerrison 1819, with the hallmarks about 70% overall. A fine and rare example of a 19th century saffron pot for the collection.

The pot stands 12.5cm tall and measures just 20cm from handle-to-spout. It has a comfortable capacity of 400mls, and pours well. Unpacked, it weighs in at 327gms.
