Antique Georgian 1836 42pc 8pl Sterling Silver Cutlery Set Fiddle Thread & Shell

Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Georgian sterling silver cutlery set, made by Joseph & Albert Savory of London, c-1836. The set has been produced in the popular Fiddle, Thread & Shell design, being of exceptional quality and gauge throughout. The set includes eight each of dinner forks, entree forks, tablespoons, dessert spoons, and teaspoons, plus two sauce ladles. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The set features a fantastic dragon crest to each piece, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. A fine and useful set of 19th century English sterling silver flatware for the collection.

The forks measure 20.5cm and 18cm long, with the spoons measuring 22.5cm, 18cm and 14.5cm long. The ladles measure 18cm long and are 6cm wide at the bowl. Unpacked, the set has a generous combined weight of 3,071gms (98.75 troy ounce).
