Here today for your consideration we have this superb Georgian sterling silver teapot, made by Charles Fox I of London, c-1814. The teapot stands atop four ball feet and features a half-fluted base with gadrooned rim, flush hinge and insulated silver finial. Condition is good used, with a few minor and shallow depressions throughout (nothing too serious; commensurate with age and use). The teapot features an unusually placed though well executed monogram to the handle, with the hallmarks about 80% overall. A very beautiful Regency sterling silver teapot for the collection.
The teapot stands 15.5cm tall and measures 30cm handle-to-spout. It has a capacity of 1,200mls (40.5 fl.oz) and pours well. Unpacked, it weighs in at 635gms.
