Here today for your consideration we have this superb and rare set of six Georgian sterling silver-handled dinner knives, made in Birmingham, c-1818. This wonderful set features nicely detailed acanthus leaf handles with plated steel blades, some of which are original. Condition is good used, with no major damage evident to the handles. The blades have some wear to the plating and are of differing sizes (some have been replaced over the years). Each handle has a matching monogram to the cartouche (wearing/worn to some), with the hallmarks being about 50% overall. A very fine and rare original set of Georgian dinner knives for the collection.
The knives measure between 21cm and 22.5cm long, with the length of the sterling silver handle being 10cm. Unpacked, the set weighs in at 391gms.
