Here today for your consideration we have this fantastic antique partially-set ring shank, bearing Australian gold hallmarks, c-1920's. The ring is set with a single oval-cut blue sapphire, offset against a vacant claw setting to take a round stone, and a further six to the band. The quality is very good, with the ring hallmarked internally and without engraving. The claws look okay in the larger round-cut vacant setting, however the claws in the band may require some rebuilding (speak with your jeweller about the possibilities). A lovely genuine antique piece to showcase your stones.
The larger vacant setting will tolerate a stone with a diameter of 3mm, with the accent stones needing to be 1mm-1.1mm in diameter. The band sizes in at a US 7, UK N and EU 54, with the ring weighing in at 2.74gms unpacked.
