Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful antique solid 9ct yellow gold medal or pendant, made by Schlank & Co of Adelaide, c-1920's. The piece features the coat of arms of the Prince Alfred College of Adelaide and is embellished with red and white enamel, being of very good quality in both design and construct. The pendant is in good condition with no major damage to note. The enamel is about 99% complete (a couple of minor fleabites here and there), with the medal fully hallmarked to the reverse. An unsoldered gold jump ring is included to the loop, which could be easily removed for storage as a medal, or fully soldered as a bail to use a necklace pendant. A wonderful memento from a prestigious South Australian institution from a most notable Adelaide jeweller.
The pendant (excluding jump ring) measures 34mm x 21mm. Unpacked, it weighs in at a respectable 6.89gms.
