Here today for your consideration we have this fantastic Victorian solid 15ct yellow gold bar brooch, featuring a beautifully created fly centre, c-1890's. The bug features ruby eyes, natural pearl thorax, scored garnet body and rose-cut diamond wings fronted in silver, being of very good quality throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The pin is securely held within the later safety clasp, with the brooch hallmarks fully worn or never struck (tested and guaranteed throughout). A most attractive 19th century bug brooch in solid gold.
The bug measures 17mm long from antenna to wings, with the brooch measuring 59mm long overall. Unpacked, it weighs in at 4.46gms.
