Antique Victorian 15ct Yellow Gold Pearl Diamond Sun Star Burst Pendant Brooch

Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful Victorian solid 15ct yellow gold convertible pendant brooch, likely of English manufacture and c-1880's. The brooch is of striking starburst design with a total of fifty-one (51) graduating seed pearls and a central Old-European cut genuine diamond. The quality is exceptional throughout, with the pearls of nice colouring and lustre, and the diamond having excellent refraction. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The piece can be worn as a necklace pendant, or the bail can be easily removed allowing the piece to be worn as a brooch. The pin is securely held within the safety catch, with the safety pin in good order. A versatile 19th century solid gold piece of jewellery which is guaranteed to catch the eye.

The pearls have diameters of between 1mm and 2.5mm, with the diamond having a diameter of 3mm and an estimated weight of 0.11cts. As a pendant, the piece measures 45mm x 30mm and weighs in at a generous 7.94gms unpacked.
