Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful late Georgian/early Victorian sterling silver christening mug, made in London, c-1838. The mug is of fine form with express floral panels and detailed snake handle, finishing in a gilded interior. The quality is very good throughout, both in design and construction. Condition is very good used, with no major damage to note. The mug is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 80% overall (maker not recorded; possibly a late mark of Henry Dolman). A most attractive 19th century sterling silver christening mug for the collection.
The mug stands 10.5cm tall and has a diameter of 7cm at the rim. It will comfortably hold 150mls of liquid, and weighs in at a respectable 140gms unpacked
