Here today for your consideration we have this superb Victorian sterling silver card case, made by David Pettifer of Birmingham, c-1852. The case is of shaped design with hinged lid and bright cut detail to both sides, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The case features a well executed monogram to the cartouche (covering the original 1852 monogram; faint traces remain), with the hallmarks about 90% overall. A beautiful 19th century English silver card case from a top quality silversmith.
The case measures 10cm x 7cm and weighs in at 69gms unpacked.
