Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian set of sterling silver fish servers, made by John Gilbert of Birmingham, c-1855. The set features acanthus-scrolled handles with pierced and bright cut blade and tines, being of very good quality throughout. Condition is good used, with a few shallow depressions to the handles and minor separation between handle and tines (still very tight and secure). The set is free from monogram or crest, with blades, tines and handles hallmarked for sterling silver. An attractive set of fish servers for the collection.
The knife and fork measure 33cm and 24cm long respectively, with the set weighing in at a very respectable 276gms unpacked.
