Here today for your consideration we have this lovely Victorian sterling silver partial cutlery set, made by Chawner & Co under the direction of George William Adams of London, c-1856. The set has been produced in the popular Fiddleback design, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. The set includes six dinner forks, six entree forks and five dessert spoons (one missing), all bearing the same monogram to the face and with matching hallmarks in good order. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (some minor rounding to some fork tines, nothing too serious). Whilst not a complete set, a replacement dessert spoon by the same maker in an identical size is available should the prospective purchase desire (please enquire as to availability before purchase). A practical mid 19th century set of sterling silver flatware for the collector.
The forks measure 20.5cm and 17cm long with the dessert spoons measuring 18cm in length. Unpacked, the set weighs in at a respectable 1,018gms (32.73 troy ounce).
