Here today for your consideration we have this beautiful Victorian sterling silver master butter knife, made by John Gilbert of Birmingham, c-1864. The knife features a shaped blade with bright cut detail and a mother of pearl handle, being of very good quality throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The knife is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 90% overall. A very attractive and versatile mid 19th century English knife in precious sterling silver.
