Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful Victorian sterling silver sifter ladle, made by Chawner & Co under the direction of George William Adams of London, c-1867. The ladle has been produced in the popular Fiddleback design, being of very good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note. The piece is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 90% overall. An attractive ladle from a prominent 19th century English silversmith.
The ladle measures 16cm long with the bowl having a diameter of about 5cm. Unpacked, it weighs in at 50gms.
