Here today for your consideration we have this wonderful Georgian sterling silver butter knife or letter opener, made by George Unite of Birmingham, c-1871. The piece features a bright cut blade and handle in the Old English Bead design, being of good quality and gauge throughout. Condition is good used, with no major damage to note (a few minor bumps to the hollow handle, nothing too serious). The knife is free from monogram or crest, with the hallmarks about 90% overall. A fine 19th century piece of sterling silver serving cutlery for the collection.
